phylm

The winners have been choosen. Check here for the winners!! Phylm, pronounced "film," is the melding of "physics" and "film." The Phylm Prize is an award aimed at spurring interest in physics and the educational use of new media. This year's winner will receive a check for $100 (US) to be dispersed in September 2009. All submissions and voting will end on September 1, 2009. Anyone can enter (where legal), and anyone can vote. However, as a former physics teacher, I'd really love to see entries from students and educators. For the official rules on a one-page handout, click here.

To vote, just click the thumbs up or thumbs down icons found above each entry. To submit an entry, click on Submit Entry above, and follow the instructions.

Note: Only videos submitted after July 1, 2008 are eligible for this year's prize. Older video's were part of last year's competition.

Entries are never removed from the site. At most, they are placed here where they can still receive votes and await a final classification.

Entries may be marked as spam for one or more of the following reasons.

    1) They did not address the forum's topic as determined by the moderator.
    2) They are "broken," i.e., they do not play/display.
    3) They are inappropriate or obscene.
    4) They are duplicates.

If you believe that an entry here does not meet the above criteria, hit the not spam icon, and it will be brought to the moderator's attention.
