Dear Mr. President,
I am one of those millions of homeowners whose house is valued less than the mortgage. I would like to pay a part of this mortgage using my 401K savings, just so that my home will not be foreclosed. However, the huge penalty (20%) and tax will not allow me to use this option. Mr. President, is it not reasonable to waive these penalty and taxes for those hard working citizens of this great nation who are trying to save their homes from being foreclosed by using their retirement savings so they have a roof over their head when they retire?

I want to know why my mortgage company will not work with me on lowering my payment for my home I am 72 years old and have not been late on any payment. I have a fixed income now and can't afford a payment that is 55% of my income. I have submittied all paperwork they have ask for to lower my mortgage and they refused me yet again. I thought you went to Arizona to talk with these companies to lower our mortgage to 33%. Oh by the way my mortgage company is in Arizona.

Mr. President,

Why aren't the credit card interest payments tax-deductible? Why are the credit card interests not capped? If they were capped at a reasonable 7%, Americans would realize some savings and perhaps spend some of it in the marketplace. thank you.

Mr.President, My husband was laid off Feb.19,2009 we got no unemployment because he was self-employed as a Floor Installer Jan.-June 2008 and did not have enough quarters to claim. We could get no cash assistance because our son goes to Penn ST. EXT and is over 18 and lives at home. He moves to the Main Campus in Aug.2009.He has over a 3.00 GPA for his 2 yrs. I am paralyzed from a rare Spinal Stroke and only get $337 a month. My husband just got hired April 9, 2009 through a temp agency making $9 an hour. Most people think the disabled or paralyzed get help from Foundations and Charities, that is not TRUE they use the money for research and to pay for their costs. Our family has been hanging on by a thread, but have managed to pay all our credit cards on time and used to pay more but must pay minimum now.The credit card companies raised my interest rates when I have never been late and paid more and they were the banks that got bailouts. This is so unfair.I actually have a Donation site up trying to get help for my family cause I can not work. Our family only has one worker so we are at a disadvantage in this economic crisis. Will you clamp down on these credit card companies? http://paintedmule.com/2009/04/13/sylvias-fund/ Thank You Sir

** Video and text questions are randomly selected, and then the two lists are combined to highlight the different media options available.
Currently the two lists are extraordinarily different in size, which means that the same video questions will show up with greater frequency
than their text counterparts as they come from a smaller pool of questions.
