By using http://www.communitycounts.com (”the Site”) you are agree to abide by the terms and conditions spelled out below and are hereby entering into an agreement with the Site’s owner(s) and operators. If you do not agree to the following terms, you are to immediately cease use of the site.

The term “moderator” will be used to distinguish from all other Site users those who have setup or manage a forum.

Privacy

Cookies: The Site makes use of multiple-third-party elements such video players. These elements may make use of cookies and thereby make available to others or pass on to their authors information regarding your online habits.  Submitting and voting on content, however, does not require the use of cookies. The Site only requires cookies for the management of forums. We may read and write cookies in an attempt to determine if you are a manager. However, we will not make an attempt to extract information from cookies which we did not write. If you are at all concerned about how any of these third-parties might make use of cookies, we suggest that you disable the cookie option in your browser. Unless you are a moderator managing a forum, this should not affect your ability to use the Site.

Personally Identifiable Data: Users may add their email address to two different mailing lists when interacting with a forum: (1) the communityCOUNTS’ mailing list and (2) the forum moderator’s mailing list. CommunityCOUNTS will never intentionally share its lists with any third-party, including moderators, unless required by law. The use of moderators’ mailing lists are, however, left up to them. Aside from this opt-in email option, all other data collected is general in nature and governed by the text below.

Remaining Data: In order to maintain the integrity of voting on the Site and to improve our overall user experience, it is necessary that we collect information our users including but not limited to IP addresses, browser data, and referring sites. CommunityCOUNTS will NOT willingly share this information with any third-party, including forum moderators EXCEPT as is necessary to oversee the fair and smooth operation of a forum or as required by law. For example, we will make available to moderators the number and rough geographical area a vote comes from, but under normal circumstances, we would not share the specific IP address. Most data that we share is also publicly available to visitors. For example, geographic data is available via the Map tool found below all content.

Service

You recognize that for the duration of beta testing you are accepting the communityCOUNTS service “as is” without technical support or any implied statement of functionality, and you hereby grant communityCOUNTS the non-exclusive limited right and license to host, copy, and otherwise use any content you uploaded or link to the site, and you agree not to hold the Site or David Colarusso responsible for any complications or problems that stem from your use of the site. Again, during beta testing, this is all a test, and you accept the site “as is.”

The above agreement may be altered by the Site at any time. However, such alterations will either be shown here or linked to from this URL. The terms of service governing your use of the Site are the most up-to-date version as of the time of your use.
